I managed to fix the SIM problem, for reference I just had to restore the IMEI's for both radios using MTK Droid Tools. Thanks to this forum for having such a great amount of information, I have a new mtk6589 device on the way and hope my model is on this forum too :)

Hey need some help hopefully someone speaks english here, I had my phone working rooted, but was about to sell it so did a factory reset. Now the phone is stuck in a bootloop and just shows an android with a spinning square then resets. I think I need to flash the original recovery.img but when...
