Sin embargo, <strong>un nuevo informe de China Times revela que tanto MediaTek como Qualcomm planean utilizar el proceso de 3nm de segunda generaci\u00f3n de TSMC (N3E) para fabricar el Dimensity 9400 y el Snapdragon 8 Gen 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"El_avance_tecnologico_de_TSMC\"><\/span>El avance tecnol\u00f3gico de TSMC<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta nueva tecnolog\u00eda ofrecer\u00e1 <strong>mejoras significativas en rendimiento y eficiencia<\/strong> en comparaci\u00f3n con el proceso N3B (de primera generaci\u00f3n de 3nm) que Apple utiliza actualmente para su procesador A17 Pro del iPhone 15 Pro. El proceso de 3nm de primera generaci\u00f3n de TSMC (N3B) ten\u00eda un <strong>rendimiento del 55%, lo que significa que solo el 55% del \u00e1rea de un wafer se convert\u00eda en un chip sin defectos<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s, una oblea con chips costaba 20.000 d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TSMC ha estado produciendo alrededor de 60.000 a 70.000 obleas al mes utilizando su proceso de 3nm, y se espera que esta cifra aumente a 100.000 para finales del pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o. Actualmente, el 5% de los ingresos de TSMC proviene de su proceso de 3nm, pero se prev\u00e9 que aumente al 10% el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"El_desafio_de_Samsung_Foundry\"><\/span>El desaf\u00edo de Samsung Foundry<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por otro lado, Samsung Foundry est\u00e1 buscando cambiar su imagen y competir con TSMC para 2030 con tecnolog\u00edas avanzadas. Utiliza un dise\u00f1o de transistor llamado <strong>GAA (Gate All Around)<\/strong>, que se dice que es <strong>m\u00e1s eficiente en consumo energ\u00e9tico que el FinFET utilizado por TSMC<\/strong> en su proceso de 3nm. Sin embargo, hasta el momento, Samsung Foundry no ha logrado atraer a grandes clientes para su tecnolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se rumorea que <strong>AMD y Qualcomm podr\u00edan utilizar los procesos de 3nm y 4nm de Samsung en el futuro<\/strong>, pero no hay confirmaci\u00f3n al respecto. <strong>La divisi\u00f3n de dise\u00f1o de chips de Samsung, System LSI, est\u00e1 desarrollando el nuevo procesador Exynos 2500<\/strong>, que se espera que sea mucho m\u00e1s eficiente que los chips Exynos anteriores. Se le conoce como el &#8220;Chip de los Sue\u00f1os&#8221; de la empresa y podr\u00eda ser el primer chip complejo fabricado con el proceso de <strong>segunda generaci\u00f3n de 3nm (3GAP) de Samsung Foundry<\/strong>. Su lanzamiento est\u00e1 previsto para finales del pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En conclusi\u00f3n, la competencia entre TSMC y Samsung Foundry contin\u00faa siendo intensa en la industria de chips. <strong>Ambas compa\u00f1\u00edas est\u00e1n buscando innovar y mejorar sus tecnolog\u00edas para atraer a los grandes jugadores del mercado<\/strong>.
