Respecto al Sensor de Proximidad, mi problema persiste incluso cuando he desactivado el automático y cambiado el valor tanto a max, min ...
Representa un problema importante porque a veces NO PUEDO COLGAR UNA LLAMADA y la conversación sigue, en especial si salta el contestador. Yo hago llamada internacionales frecuentemente y esto encarece mis costes.
En el Servicio Técnico, me han indicado que entre en ajustes-->accesibilidad--> y marque [X] Botón Encendido Termina Llamada. Lo he hecho, y sigo sin poder colgar la llamada incluso presionando el botón de encendido. He reiniciado el móvil y confirmado que sigue activo ese valor en ajustes y NO FUNCIONA.
He vuelto a llamar al Servicio Técnico de ALCATEL y me han dicho que "como es un móvil nuevo lo mejor es que rellene el formulario de contacte con nosostros a través de la web www.alcatelonetouch.com porque va directamente a los ingenieros" (menuda solución).
Lo he hecho y ya os diré que me indican. Os copio texto del formulario (en inglés).

I just received my new phone ALCATEL OT-997D a few days ago.
I have notice that some times when I making a phone call, whenever I end the conversation and I try to hang up, the screen remains balck (off)so I cannot finnish the call. Sometimes it works fine but other it does not, the screen remains black constantly or turns on for a some miliseconds and off again.
In any case there is no way to end the call, and for me this is a problem as I make frecuently international calls and it enlarge the expenses of my invoice bill.
I searched on the internet and several webpages states that this is a common problem, a software one, that can bi fixed by not selecting SETTINGS --> DISPLAY --> BRIGHTNESS -->>[ ]automatic and leaving such field in any value other than automatic birghtness.
I tried with such field in any value (min, max, middle, 2/3...) and the behaviour of the problem remains.
I phone ALCATEL Tech Support in SPAIN, and they told me to make the following setting: SETTINGS --> ACCESIBIITY --> [X] Power Button Ends Call, so I would be able to end a call by pressing power button. However, even with this setting I cannot end a phone call by pressing the power button.
I phoned again to Tech Support and told me to write to you through this form as 997D is a new model and it is quicker.
Furthermore, I have installed the android app Z - Device Test in order to find out more details about the proximity sensor (whether it works or not...)
The app show the following data:

Nonetheless, when the app is working with the Proximity Sensor, it cannot behave as expected. Very rarely, it works fine, I mean, it shows covered steadly when the sensor is covered by my finger and steadly not covered when it is not.
The most common behavior is that it is shows some splashes (miliseconds) of not covered when it is not and shows covered for most of the time.
As you will understand, this problem (not being able to end a call) represent an important handicap for any customer.
I am in an urgent need to solve this issue.
